Helping others with Autoimmune Diseases Focusing on Lupus, Sjogren's, and Chronic Lyme

May is Lupus and Lyme Awareness Month!!!

May is lupus and lyme awareness month! I always have a hard time in May, because I want to get awareness out about both. Both of these diseases mimic other things, including each other, which makes it so difficult to get a correct diagnosis. More than that though, half the time, there are no visible symptoms and you end up struggling while feeling alone. I have always been so fortunate to have a good support system and one that truly understands that just because I look well does not mean that I feel well. I am so truly grateful for that. This month there will be extra blog posts while we focus on these two diseases, but let us start with some of the symptoms that are visible. Things that I always assumed were normal and are very much NOT NORMAL! I cannot stress that enough through here and my instagram page. If you do not feel normal, it is not normal. Trust yourself, trust your gut, and trust your instincts.

I am hoping that this blog will help others by providing information and increasing awareness of autoimmune diseases.
